I would like to introduce you to my new rolls….
The key to this recipe was to not make it too sweet, so I chose an organic ketchup that didn’t kill our brains with high fructose corn syrup, but true deliciousness in our mouths…
It almost reminds me of a cinnamon/ketchup taste. Perfect for these filling little rolls. It’s a all in one kind of dish…
here is how you can put it together.
CABBAGE ROLLS
1 cabbage
Filling:
1 lb. ground organic ground sirloin
2 cups cooked rice (your choice of rice)
1 small onion (Just used a little, my boys aren’t huge onion eaters, so I must hide them)
1 small can organic tomato sauce, reserve 1/2 to pour over cabbage rolls
1 egg
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 tsp. salt
2 Tb. catsup
Boil cabbage in water for 3 minutes. Drain & remove outer leaves. Mix filling. Take a heaping spoonful of filling , place on cabbage leaf, roll & secure with toothpick. Pour 1/2 can of tomato sauce over all. Bake, covered, at 350 for about an hour. Makes 8-10 rolls.
A little blurry, but you get the picture.
Just roll those babies up in a casserole dish, I sprayed with organic olive oil spray before I layed the rolls down.
Just toss the rest of the tomato sauce down & cover, then bake….
I think you will love. Simple, easy, has a some grain, veggies & meat…the one stop shop for a good meal.
Unless you are my children & really eat more of the bird than the cow….
Easy Grilled Chicken
3 Tb. Dale’s Steak Seasoning
3 Tb. Wishbone Italian
Marinate chicken & cook until no longer pink inside. Doesn’t get much easier than that. A great taste, especially with a baked sweet potato or some green beans on the side.
Enjoy!
